Under the name Lightcode Accessories, you can find a collection of hand-made jewellery that was initially started in 2021 in collaboration with Venezuelan artist and craftsman Peca in Egypt. As my quest for good quality canvas was unsuccessful, he offered me a piece of leather, which I turned into our seed piece with Posca markers. We created a collection of earrings, necklaces and bracelets from it, integrating the painted leather pieces with wire wrapping and natural stones (such as hematite, tiger’s eye, turquoise, goldstone…). This initial collection gave me the motivation to make more jewellery on my own, so the adventure continues… Currently I recycle strips of leather from craftspeople making handbags and other items who would otherwise throw them, turning them into painted adornments.
